How this catalog was compiled, what the statuses mean, and where the data comes from — including its limits. Data as of 2026-08-28.

Publication scope: the research dataset covers 87 models; this edition of the site publishes 81 models for the enabled market (Europe).

Scope

Chinese automotive brands (and their sub-brands) with passenger vehicles (EVs and plug-in hybrids) that are on sale, announced with a concrete European or North American plan, or on sale in one of the three NA markets, as of 2026-08-28.
Geographic scope: the EU + EEA + UK (grouped as "Europe") and the US, Canada, Mexico (grouped as "North America").
Currently 21 brands and 81 models are tracked. Brands with no consumer retail in either region (e.g. Yangwang, Hyptec, Venucia) are documented in the research report but excluded from the catalog.
Van/light-commercial-only names (e.g. Maxus eDeliver 9) are only included where a passenger EV exists (Maxus MIFA 7, Euniq 6).

On sale: vehicles delivered to retail customers in that region.
Coming soon: on order / dealerships opening / a dated launch is announced.
Announced: an entry has been announced but no date, price or dealer plan is public yet.
Not available: no sales and no concrete announced plan (including markets closed by tariffs).

Powertrains: BEV (battery electric), PHEV (plug-in hybrid, incl. BYD DM-i and Chery SHS), EREV (electric range extender).

Each model carries one representative starting price from a named reference market (noted on each model page), not a global list. Prices are ex-incentive unless noted, and in the local market's currency.
The explorer's price filter compares models within the same currency only — there is no currency conversion, deliberately, to avoid misleading comparisons.
Where a price was genuinely unpublished as of 2026-08-28, the catalog shows "Price on request". NIO prices are vehicle prices; its battery-as-a-service (BaaS) option is noted per model.

Range figures are WLTP where the market publishes them (Europe) and the closest published figure otherwise (NEDC or EPA are flagged in model notes).
Multi-battery models list the base pack; options are in the trims section.

Each country page lists the major public DC fast-charging networks there, with typical pay-as-you-go prices per kWh in the local currency, as of 2026-08-28. Subscription rates (e.g. Ionity Passport, Fastned Gold) are noted in the rows and are usually cheaper.
Prices are indicative, not a rate card: public DC charging in Europe typically varies between the listed low and high figures by location and time of day. Mexico's rates are estimates. Check the operator's app for live pricing.
The calculator multiplies distance × consumption × the selected network's per-kWh price; it is a planning tool, not a quote.

Official brand websites (global and per-country where they exist) and brand-level social accounts were verified as of 2026-08-28. Where a brand has no standalone site in a market (e.g. Aion outside the UK, Seres in the UK), the brand page says so and points to the relevant network or group site.
Social handles are brand-level accounts; individual markets sometimes run separate local accounts. Check the brand's main profiles before formal use.

Per-model research compiled on 2026-08-28 from manufacturer announcements and official market press, automotive press (e.g. Electrive, Autocar, Carwow, Fleet News), dealer/press networks and trade publications. Every model page links its sources.
Trade/regulatory context (EU countervailing tariffs; US Section 301 + 232; Canada's 6.1% tariff and 49,000-unit quota effective March 2026; Mexico's 50% tariff from 1 Jan 2026) is sourced from government/official announcements and major outlets; see the region pages and per-model notes.
Forward-looking items (Canada late-2026/2027 launches, Zeekr via Volvo dealers, Denza UK) are press-reported plans, not confirmed retail dates, and are labelled accordingly.

This market moves monthly — check model pages for the latest note before buying decisions. The as-of date is stamped on every page, and each record carries its own last-revalidation date. Whole-catalog revalidation passes re-check every price, status and market list against official sources; 68 verified changes from the latest pass are published in the dataset changelog (RSS).
Collections (family, pet, fleet, featured) are computed by published rules from official specs — Euro NCAP stars, boot litres, WLTP range, DC peak and list price. No sponsored or editorial placements exist anywhere on this site.
Brand monograms are generated placeholders, not official logos (trademark policy).
Naming varies by market: BYD Seal U = Sealion 6 = Song Plus; Seagull = Dolphin Surf (EU) / Dolphin Mini (Mexico). The catalog uses the regional retail name.
Lotus is a British brand majority-owned by Geely; its Eletre/Emeya are China-built — it is included in this catalog because the vehicles are Chinese-made.
